What are Herbal CSAs?
Herbal CSA's are modeled after Community Supported Agriculture Farms. CSA Farms help farmers stay solvent throughout entire year and helps customers reconnect with their food source.
Each month from FCF you will receive a priority box containing seasonal, herbal goods such as a bar of natural soap, salve for your medicine cabinet, a tincture or oil or liniment as well as a zine to help get you started making your own herbThere are three share options available for you and at the end of 12 months, if you continue with the CSA, you will have a basic herbal apothecary in your home and an opportunity to build up an ongoing, frugal and sustainable pantry.
All ingredients used are either grown with permaculture practices and absence of herbicides and pesticides, are responsibly wildcrafted or are purchased from vendors who at least grow organically. The health of soil, plants and animals are the main focus at functional craft and the goats, who are the providers of the milk-based soaps and lotions and milk based cultures and cheese are fed non-GMO alfalfa, browse and a hand mixed, organic, whole grain feed with herbal supplements for optimum health. The beds are planted in polycultures and are treated with compost teas and lots of organic matter.
